One Life to Live alum Ryan Phillippe will star in and produce a new movie called One Mile as well as the film's yet-untitled sequel.

Ryan Phillippe continues being booked and busy since leaving One Life to Live nearly 30 years ago. The actor has lined up not one, but two new film projects.

The film, One Mile, according to Deadline, follows a father who has recently been released from prison and "tries to reconnect with his daughter by taking her on a college tour, but they find themselves battling for more than their relationship when a murderous cult, living in the woods, pursues them."

If the premise sounds creepy, that's what Phillippe seemingly wants. In an Instagram post, the actor promised, "We are gonna scare the hell out of ya."

The film is reportedly slated for a first run in theaters before moving to a streaming release, but that could change by the time the production wraps. In addition to One Mile, Phillippe will also headline the film's yet-to-be-titled sequel. The two movies will be shot back to back.

This is the first venture into feature films by Kapital Entertainment, an indie studio helmed by Aaron Kaplan. Among the primetime series for which Kaplan is responsible are A Million Little Things, American Housewife, and The Chi.

Phillippe played the role of Billy Douglas from 1992 to 1993. After leaving the ABC soap opera, he went on to find fame in movies like Cruel Intentions, Gosford Park, and Crash, as well as series like Damages, Shooter, and Secrets and Lies.

What do you think of Ryan Phillippe's latest project? We want to hear from you -- and there are many ways you can share your thoughts.
