Y&R star Max Ehrich's comedy series Embeds has the actor tangled up in politics

Get the details on Fox News star Megyn Kelly's new comedy series, Embeds, starring The Young and the Restless' Max Ehrich (Fenmore Baldwin).

Politics is the name of the game these days, and even The Young and the Restless' Max Ehrich (Fenmore Baldwin) is embroiled in Washington's drama. In a fictional manner, that is.

The New Jersey native stars in the new series Embeds, a political comedy produced by Fox News star Megyn Kelly and Fifty Shades of Grey producer Michael De Luca that follows a presidential campaign trail and the embedded journalists who cover it.

The five millennial reporters in focus (Ehrich, Kelsey Asbille, Taylor Zakhar, Andre Jamal Kinney, and Chloe Brooks) quickly realize they're in way over their heads as they find themselves shaping the future of the country while experiencing raucous adventures in an unexpected world of sex, drugs, and swing states. The series is rumored to have big-name politicians set to make cameo appearances throughout the season.

Embeds was co-created by real-life embeds Scott Conroy, co-author of the bestselling Sarah Palin biography Sarah From Alaska, and Peter Hamby, a former CNN correspondent who is now head of Snapchat's news efforts. The pair penned the pilot after reportedly seeing a need to explore the world of embedded campaign-trail journalists while they served as embeds for CBS News and CNN, traveling with the campaigns of Mitt Romney and Sarah Palin in 2008. Todd Waldman serves as showrunner, with Conroy writing an additional script and executive producing the series.

The first six half-hour episodes of Embeds will be available for streaming on the Verizon-owned platform Go90 beginning Wednesday, January 18.
